The Big Bend area’s most unique sensory awareness experience, the 14th Annual Paula Bailey Dining in the Dark event. More than 300 guests will get a realistic sense of everyday life of those with vision loss, when they enjoy a three-course meal in complete darkness. They will experience a dinner designed to stimulate their palate and surprise their taste buds by offering them no idea of what they will eat or drink.
The event begins with a reception followed by dinner, where meals will be served by the Leon County Sheriff’s SWAT team, who will be equipped with night vision goggles. The evening will conclude with presenting the Paula Bailey Inspirational Community Member Award, the top honor presented by the Lighthouse each year.
The unrivaled occasion is both an awareness and a fundraising event for the Lighthouse of the Big Bend, the premier local non-profit serving blind and vision-impaired residents throughout the 11-county Big Bend area.
This Year's Silent Auction will feature once-in-a-lifetime trips all over the world!
Arrive prepared to bid on these amazing experiences, network with other members of our community, and build awareness of Lighthouse of the Big Bend's mission.
